A letter to her patients as she steps into her next chapter;
Dear Patients,
With a grateful heart, I want to share with you that I am retiring from dentistry at the end of this month. As I look back on my career of more than twenty years as a general dentist, the most satisfying feeling is knowing that in a small way I’ve been able to make a positive difference in people’s lives and be trusted by friends, families, and neighbors. I will miss practicing, but I am also looking forward to spending more time with my family in the upcoming months and years. I have truly enjoyed caring for you at Northland Dental Studio for the past ten and half years and have confidence in my colleagues here to be able to continue your care seamlessly. I want to thank Dr. Hadden, Dr. Tibbitts, and all the staff for their support, professionalism, and friendship. Northland Dental Studio will continue to be my family’s dental home in Austin!
I am honored to introduce Dr. Ellen Cainsford and welcome her to our Northland Dental Studio team. I have enjoyed getting to know Dr. Cainsford, and I take comfort in knowing she shares my same values and approach to patient care. Dr. Cainsford is a native Texan, growing up in Houston, completing her dental degree at UT San Antonio, and now enjoying Austin as her home. She enjoys all areas of general dentistry and truly loves making long-term connections with her patients. While I will miss our visits, I know you will continue to be very well cared for by both Dr. Cainsford and Dr. Tibbitts for your future dental needs.

About Dr. Peters
Dr. Peters earned her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree in 2005 from the University of Michigan. She then served as an active-duty dentist at Fort Hood, Texas and Balad, Iraq. Before joining the team at Northland Dental Studio in 2015, she worked for six years in a private practice in North Austin.
Dr. Peters is passionate about continuing education and is a member of the American Dental Association, Texas Dental Association and Capital Area Dental Society. She loves helping people have healthy, confident smiles and enjoys treating children and adults. Dr. Peters offers her patients a comprehensive approach to their dental health care needs, including cosmetic dentistry and Spark Clear Aligners for orthodontics. She is certified in nitrous oxide sedation to help treat dental anxiety. Her favorite part of dentistry is forming lasting relationships with her patients and helping them have a comfortable and positive experience in the office. Since 2020, she was honored by her peers to be selected for inclusion on the Super Dentists ® list in Texas Monthly magazine!
Dr. Peters and her husband live in central Austin with their son and daughter and labrador retriever. In her spare time, she enjoys biking, cooking, hiking the Hill Country, and volunteering at church and school.
