Known for her caring demeanor and clear communication, Dr. Ellen Cainsford is a compassionate and detail-oriented dentist dedicated to helping patients achieve healthy, confident smiles. With a gentle approach and a commitment to patient comfort and education, she strives to create a positive dental experience for individuals and families alike.

Dr. Cainsford was born and raised in Houston, Texas. She ventured off to The Ohio State University, earning a Bachelors Degree in Biology with honors. She came back to the Lone Star State and earned her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from University of Texas at San Antonio Health Science Center.

Discovering a passion for American Sign Language in college, Dr. Cainsford enjoys working with the Deaf community and is dedicated to providing accessible, comfortable care for all.

Dr. Cainsford enjoys providing a wide range of services, including preventive, restorative, and cosmetic care with or without nitrous oxide sedation to help patients feel relaxed and at ease – always tailoring treatment to each patient’s needs and goals.

Outside the office, Dr. Cainsford is an avid reader and enjoys exploring Austin’s food scene, cuddling her cat Rufus, and spending time with friends and family. She is proud to be part of the Northland team, serving the community with integrity and care.
